"I have learned so much in such a short time, thank you, thank you. I really enjoyed class. I left so uplifted. And yes, I did find my voice."

"Initially I was nervous to join the Women's Writing Group. I didn't know anyone involved, including Cheryl, and I had barely written in years. What if they're all accomplished writers? What if I don't fit in? But after the first meet up, my anxieties were quelled. Cheryl was so welcoming, and the other women were great. Before the first hour was up, there was no denying that this was something I needed. This was the space to get me writing again. In that first class, we talked about "the critic", the one holding us back from writing as we knew we needed to, and in 90% of those cases, the critic was inside each of us. Cheryl urged us to push the critic aside and just WRITE. Good. Bad. Doesn't matter. Because just writing is half the battle. And now I've got an outline for my novel, pretty much planned from beginning to end, and I'm just seeing where the story takes me. Joining the group is one of the best moves I've made in a long time. It saved the writer in me. What more could I ask for?"
